Ayurveda Medicines for Vayudhatu (Vataroga)
Arthritis is a common destructive, auto-immune disease mainly of two types. Osteoarthritis affects big joints. When the synovial membrane degenerates, it affects joint movements causing inflammation and pain. In rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation comes first with fever. It affects almost all joints and the bloodstream. Arthritis can occur at any age and can also affect other organs and lead to deformity.
Bruhadhwathachintamani Tablets: Useful in all vata ailments and rheumatism.
Dosage: 1 g = 5 doses. One dose twice daily with rasnadi panchaka decoction (or) with juice of ginger added with honey (or) as directed by the physician.
Vatarakshasam: Can be used in fevers of vata. Removes all pains in the body. Useful for suthika vata and titanus.
Dosage: 1 g = 5 doses. One dose each time both morning and evening with the decoction of dry ginger, pepper and black pepper.
Ekangaveerarasa: Useful in vata ailments.
Dosage: As directed by the physician.
Vatavidhwamsi: Useful in vata ailments.
Dosage: 1 g = 5 doses. One dose twice daily with decoction of sounthi and maricha for puerperal diseases.
Dasamoolarishta: A tonic useful in sterility, Cures fever, dropsy, cough, anaemia, jaundice and prameha, Helps to release urine freely.
Dosage: To be taken with an equal quantity of water in 10ml dosage after meals.
Narayana Taila: Very useful in nervous disorders. Specially in paralysis, wryneck, pains in cheeks, waist, joints etc.
Dosage: Can be used for massage over the body.
Pratapalankeswaram: Useful in vata ailments.
Dosage: As directed by the physician.
Diet
According to the constitution of the body, diet follow-up is essential for health and longevity. Every patient should observe precautions in diet at the time of usage of the medicine to avoid aggravation and to obtain speedy results.
